UEFISCDI selects the human resources management integrated solution Human Resources Planning

The Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education Research, Development and Innovation UEFISCDI chose the integrated human resources solution Human Resources Planning.

UEFISCDI is a public institution coordinating programs within the National Plan for research, development, innovation, and design, and implements institutional and system development projects, regarding higher education with national and international financing.

UEFSCDI’s activity is a project based one, necessitated complex configurations of the time management component. The projects were defined in the software program, within each project are defined a series of time delimited activities, as well as the needed human resources structure. The resources within each project are allocated per activities, thus giving the possibility to track the time per activity and project at the user level (resource), the activities being listed in order to submit the time through the users interface only for the preset period during which the activity is carried on during the project. The information regarding the working time is transferred in real time in the payroll calculation component, establishing the remuneration of the experts depending on the predefined hourly rates.

Due to the performed activity, implying the coordination of multiple projects with European financing, designing specific reports, according to the standards of the monitoring authority was necessary, activity reports for each resource involved, with details regarding activities and number of hours spent on each activity, which can be issued each month or during the project development.

The solution configured as such allows interfacing with other project management activities, in order to transfer the time spent and the predefined hourly rates in the budgeting modules.

Analysis, implementation and complex configurations testing of the Human Resources Planning were successfully finalized in less than 4 weeks, at this moment UEFISCDI benefiting of the integrated solution.
